Peptalkr keeps a record of all email and SMS it has sent to a patient right inside Peptalkr. But if you want a record stored inside Cliniko as well - this is for you.
When to use this setting
Enable this option on the Peptalkr Settings tab and we will leave a Communication Record in the Patient file when an SMS or transactional email is triggered to them.
β
Enable it in Peptalkr here:
Where it's stored in Cliniko
In the Patient file, on the Communications tab:
You'll see whether it was an Email or SMS next to the Memo.
If it was an Email, you'll see the Trigger name in the Message field.
If it was an SMS, you'll see the actual SMS that was sent in the Message field.
If you click the Date - you can open the message to see more of the message if it's cut off.
π We cannot include the full content of the email that was sent because we send HTML emails, which cannot be translated into Cliniko's communication log. Hence, we use the trigger name for clarity. Ensure you use logical names for your email triggers.
Prior to February 2025
Previously, Peptalkr communication logs were stored in the patient file, in the 'Extra Information' field.
These will remain where they are if you used this setting previously. Only NEW communications will be in the Communications tab.
You can erase the data in the Extra information field manually if you want to.
If you were using the old comms log:
Each record will be stored chronologically, with the newest records at the top.
These automated records do not overwrite any existing notes that have been manually written into this field.
FAQs
Why can't I see patient replies?
This is simply not possible - there are limitations around how replies are tracked which are well beyond our control.
Why aren't my email campaigns and marketing automations in the log?
Only transactional emails and SMS will be recorded in the patient file as these are important communications. A patient's history of sent marketing campaigns and automated journeys will only be stored inside Peptalkr. This keeps things cleaner, simpler and relevant to the appointment journey.
