Peptalkr keeps a record of all email and SMS it has sent to a patient right inside Peptalkr. But if you want a record stored inside Cliniko as well - this is for you.

When to use this setting

Enable this option on the Peptalkr Settings tab and we will leave a note in the Patient file when an SMS or transactional email is triggered to them.

Where it's stored in Cliniko

In the patient file, in the 'Extra Information' field.

  • Each record will be stored chronologically, with the newest records at the top.

  • These automated records do not overwrite any existing notes that have been manually written into this field.

What is contained in the record

Each record will begin with two asterisks so you can easily identify it as a Peptalkr record.

That will be followed by the date, the type of communication that was sent (email or SMS) and either the name of the Transactional email that was sent, OR the actual content of the SMS that was sent.

FAQs

Why can't you put the records into Cliniko's 'Communications' tab in the patient file?

Once upon a time there were limitations around how Cliniko allowed integrators like us to make records in Cliniko. These limitations have since been changed, but we haven't caught up yet. This is planned and will be coming soon (late 2024).

What if I use the 'Extra Information' field for other things?

We always append the records to your field (meaning we add new records to the start of the field) without overwriting or disrupting any of your other text in that field whether existing text or you decide to add something new. The asterisks will help you to identify a log record versus a record you or your staff have left.

However, you have the option to disable this setting completely and log into Peptalkr and check the delivery logs.

Why aren't my email campaigns and automations in the log?

Only transactional emails and SMS will be recorded in the patient file as these are important communications. A patient's history of sent marketing campaigns and automated journeys will only be stored inside Peptalkr.
