ℹ️ Who this tutorial is for
Signup pages are standalone pages with their own unique URL, designed to help you grow your Peptalkr custom lists. They don’t require any hosting on your end—Peptalkr takes care of that. You can share your signup page via social media, on your website, or even add the link to your email signature.
If you haven't read about signup forms yet, please read that first.
If you're already familiar, and want some guidance on creating, styling and publishing your signup form - let's dive in.
Please note: Signup pages are not to be used with your automatic Patients list for Cliniko. They are only for Custom lists.
Creating a signup page
In the email manager, Go to Lists & Subscribers, then click the name of the custom list you want to connect your signup form to.
In the left-hand menu, click Signup form builder.
Choose Create a signup page.
Use the available tools to customise your form.
Click Save when you're done.
Customising the signup page's design
Peptalkr’s signup page builder lets you tailor the look and feel of your form to suit your brand.
There are plenty of options to customise the colours, images, text and more! You can preview changes as you go (note: preview data won’t be saved or added to your list).
To share your page, click Share to copy the public URL. Any submissions via this page will be added directly to your chosen list. Don’t forget—your changes won’t be reflected on the live version until you hit Save.
Layout and design options
Form
Customise the layout of the form itself. This tab must be selected to access your Fields and Options sections.
Page
Choose between a single layout or a split layout:
Single layout: Decide whether to display a box around your form content.
Split layout: Display text and form elements either together or in separate sections. You can add padding and round the section corners as needed.
Background
Set background colours, adjust transparency, or add a background image (JPEG, PNG, or GIF). You can upload directly or paste an image URL.
Header image
Add an optional image above your heading. You can adjust its alignment and scale.
Heading
Customise your heading’s font, size, colour, and alignment.
Description
Optionally add a subheading or description. Customise its styling to match your brand.
Labels
Set the font, size, and colour for field labels across the form.
Fields
Adjust the background and text colour of input fields and dropdowns.
Button
Update your form’s call-to-action by editing the button’s text, font, size, colour, background, corner radius, width, and style (solid or ghost).
Checkbox
For custom field checkboxes or list options, you can style the text to match your form.
Links
If your form includes policy links, you can customise the font and colour.
Success page
Under the Success Page tab, customise the confirmation message that appears once someone submits your form. You can edit the heading, message body, and all styling.
Adding custom fields
To access the Fields section, click the Form tab.
You’ll see default fields like Name and Email, as well as any existing custom fields on your list.
Add new fields by clicking Add new field.
Mark fields as required if needed.
Use drag-and-drop to rearrange the field order.
Other options (under the Form tab)
Opting into multiple lists
You can allow subscribers to join more than one list from a single form. When multiple lists are selected, shared fields (same name and type) will sync across all lists.
⚠️ Important: All lists used must have the same opt-in setting—either all confirmed or all single opt-in. Subscribers joining confirmed lists will receive one combined confirmation email.
Permissions and policies
You can add checkboxes for email and tracking permissions. This helps ensure compliance and gives subscribers more control.
You can also add links to your Privacy Policy and Cookie Policy.
Language settings
Changing the language will only update default labels like "Name" and "Email," along with error messages.
To update the rest:
Custom field labels: Edit these via the list’s Custom Fields section.
Editable form text: Update headings, descriptions, and checkbox labels manually.
Verification emails: For confirmed opt-in lists, update the verification message via List Settings > Subscribe Options > Edit Confirmed Opt-in Email.
Upgrading old signup forms
We’ve released an updated signup page builder with more flexible layout options. If you're editing an older form, you may be prompted to upgrade it.
Follow the prompts:
Review the preview carefully.
Check that all elements look correct.
Make any necessary tweaks.
Save your changes to apply the new layout.
This ensures your forms work seamlessly with the latest customisation features.
