Newsletter and lead lists connected to your website or outside source

Are you looking at contacting people who aren't your patients or in your Cliniko database, but who want to sign up for information and marketing from you?
In this article, we will show you what options you have to do this.

In the Lists & Subscribers section of your Peptalkr account, you have the ability to create a list that will only have those who have signed up for marketing information from your website or outside source.

πŸ’‘ An example of an outside source would be a newsletter form on your website, or if patients supplied their information to you at an event or if you have people promoting your business in a shopping centre, or even if you have an iPad in your clinic that people can add their details to for information about a service or product. πŸ’‘

πŸ“ Note: If you want to contact existing patients, you do not need to create a list, as we already have your patients stored in the 'Patient'. To contact specific patients, you will want to create a segment instead. Follow these steps to see how to create a list for leads or a newsletter:

Step 1: Go to 'Send email' and then 'Lists & Subscribers'

Step 2: Click the 'Create a list' button

Step 3: Name the list. Some examples might be 'Newsletter - Website' or 'Leads from conventions'. Click 'Continue to Import'

Step 4: Here you will need to add emails. If you don't yet have any to import, you will need to add at least one email for the list to be created. We suggest you add your own email. If you already have a file with contacts, you can upload that here and those emails will automatically be added. Click 'next'
​Step 5: If you want to create a form for your website or an iPad, you can click 'Signup forms' on the left-hand side.

Step 6: You will see 'How will your form be used?'
☝️ We'll create a signup page for you. - This option will mean that we will create an entire screen for you that you can use in your clinic or out and about. This will be linked straight to Peptalkr and add the person's details to the list you've created. This option is not added to your website.
✌️ You'll paste code onto your website. - With this option, you will be given a code to embed onto your website, so the user can enter their details there.
🀟 Your form will pop up onto your site - You will be given a code to paste onto your site so that a pop-up will appear, and the user can enter their details there.

Step 7: Select which option you would like, and you can edit what it will look like.

If you chose 'We'll create a signup page for you' you will be able to edit what it will look like here. You can change the wording, styling, button text, and add or remove form fields and much more. Have a play around and when you are happy with how it looks, click 'Save and generate link'. You can then copy that link and open it in a browser. This is now saved in ---------- for you to access again.

If you chose either 'You'll paste code onto your website' or 'Your form will pop up onto your site' you have the choice to include the styling options we supply here and this is how it will look on your website. Alternatively, you can select 'No styling' and this will give you a code to embed into your website that can be edited there to suit your website design. You will still want to go through and change any wording, field options and other settings that are available with this option. Once you are happy, you will select 'Save and generate code'. You will then use this code to embed it on your website.

πŸ“ Note: If you have a web designer/developer, you will probably want to select 'No styling' so that they can add this to your website seamlessly.

Now that it is saved, all of the styling and information will stay on this page as is. You can come back and edit it whenever you need to. Every time you select 'save' it will update with the new information. If you are creating a link for a sign-up page (option ☝️1), the link will stay the same. However, if you chose option ✌️2 or 🀟3, the code to embed into your website will change and you will need to add the new embed code to your website.


Now you have your list, you can create automated journeys or send campaigns and use this list as the recipients instead of the patient list πŸŽ‰
