When creating a Transactional Email, you may want to rename it after you've created it. To edit the name, follow these steps.

Naming emails is a handy way to keep your account organised. We recommend using a consistent, descriptive naming convention. For example, this structure:

Email type - Audience - Timing

e.g.

Confirmation - New Patients - Immediate

or

Reminder - Physio - 2 days

You can also use emoji's to give a clearer visual aid - such as βœ… for confirmations and πŸ”” for reminders and πŸ‘‹ for welcome emails.

Renaming an email that's already been sending

  1. Go to the Email Manager tab then click Transactional.

  2. Scroll down and click the name of the email you wish to change.

  3. Click the Edit Name button located to the right of the email name.

  4. Edit the name and click save

Renaming an email that's never been sent before

If you've made an email and need to change the name, you'll need to connect a trigger to it and send a test from the triggers screen first - as only Transactional emails that have sent at least 1 email can be renamed.

The steps:

  1. Connect a trigger to your email and send yourself a test from the triggers page.

  2. Go to the Email Manager tab then click Transactional.

  3. Scroll down and click the name of the email you wish to change.

  4. Click the Edit Name button located to the right of the email name.

  5. Edit the name and click save
