What are transactional emails?
Transactional emails the most used part of Peptalkr.
They are deeply integrated with your Cliniko database, enabling you to send email specific to particular appointments, invoices and even medical alerts.
How do they send?
Transactional emails send when specific events occur in Cliniko such as:
Appointments being booked, attended, cancelled or marked DNA
Invoices being created or marked paid
Medical alerts being added to patient files
You'll use Triggers to determine which events do what.
Who receives them?
You have control around who, how and when these emails are sent thanks to Filters.
Filters allow you to select any combination of:
Appointment types
Appointment categories
Appointment count
Whether the patient has another appointment scheduled
Which practitioner they saw
Which business location they visited
Which tags they have in the file patient file (medical alerts)
You can also control the frequency they send.
π€ What's the difference between Transactional email and Automated Journeys?
Transactional emails are powerfully connected to Cliniko appointments, patients and invoices. They can be marketing or non-marketing emails.
Whereas Automated Journeys are marketing only. They can send to Cliniko patients based on general information about them, rather than in reaction to appointment/invoice activity. They can also be used to send to other subscriber lists separate to your Cliniko database.
What do they look like?
They look awesome! Check out some examples here. And you have complete control over their design, content and branding thanks to our drag and drop email builder.
