We're all about saving you time - which is why you have up to 15 of our most popular types of health-business email templates ready to go in your account!

Peptalkr comes with a number of pre-built templates designed specifically for health clinics that use Cliniko.

These templates:

  • Cover the most common types of email people send with Peptalkr.

  • Are designed to stand out and drive engagement.

  • Have been designed based on our 6 years experience learning what works.

Let's walk you through how to take the shortcut to sending your first email with Peptalkr using your personalised templates.

What are templates?

✨ Templates are reusable email designs. You can use them as a starting point for any email you create, and change the content each time to suit the needs of the email you're setting up.

Here's a tasty analogy:

πŸ§‘β€πŸ³ Templates are like cookie cutters. They give you a consistent shape and outline that you can use repeatedly.

πŸͺ Emails are like the cookies you bake. Each email you create is made using the cutter (template) but can have different flavours, decorations, or toppings (i.e. content) depending on the occasion or audience.

How to use the templates

Your templates can be found in the Email manager under the My Templates heading:

From the My templates screen, you can do several things:

  1. Edit the template design or content.

  2. Copy the template to make another, similar version.

  3. Create a πŸš€ Campaign (one off marketing email) from a template.

  4. Rename a template.

  5. Delete a template.

  6. Create a template of your own.

When you want to send an email using a template as a starting point, you'll always be doing the following 3 things:

  1. πŸ’Œ Create an email (You'll start by selecting one of the 3 types of email)

  2. 🌏 Select a template

  3. πŸš€ Trigger your email (if it's an automated email) or Send it to your chosen audience (if it's a one off email).

Steps to use them:

Every time you (whether it be a transactional email, a one-off campaign or a step in an automated journey) you'll need to select a starting point.

Once you get to the Template selector step it'll look something like this:

On the left you'll see a tall menu:

πŸ•₯ Recent emails

Any email you've recently worked on is automatically saved as a reusable template here 😊

Another 120+ templates for just about any purpose - courtesy of our email partner (great for fun newsletters and other marketing email)

Select the template collection you'd like to browse and click the template you wish to get started with.

This will create an email from the chosen template, which you can edit without overwriting the original template.

Editing the templates

You can edit the saved templates from the My Templates area easily, you'd only do this if you want the starting point template to be different.

Edits you might like to make are:

  • Adding or changing your logo.

  • Adding in social media links.

  • Adjusting the headings or other information such as cancellation policy and variables.

Remember, you needn't create a template for every email you plan on sending - the saved templates are just a reusable layout that you can use to create multiple versions of similar emails.

πŸ‘‰ If you took us up on our free email customisation service (offered to anyone who books an onboarding call as part of their account setup) - we've done most of the work for you already.

FAQs

How do I use the drag and drop builder?

We've got a fantastic tutorial right here to teach you all the basics of using our intuitive drag & drop email builder.

How do I add my logo and branding?

If you booked an onboarding call, we'll have already done this part for you. But if you didn't, then you can edit each template to drop in your logo and edit the default colours and fonts. The guided tutorial above shows you what to do.

Can I set my branding globally for all future templates?

in short - no. Each template has it's own branding settings for maximum flexibility. However, you can always just edit the branding in one template, then create more templates from the one you already branded 😊

Why don't I see the same templates from your tutorials?

From time to time we update our reusable templates. We don't want to overwrite any of your existing templates or confuse you - so we only add them to your account by request. Want a fresh copy of the latest templates? Just let us know 😊 You'll just need to edit them to add your branding yourself.

Why am I seeing [bracketed] things in my templates?

These are variables! They will be automatically replaced with information relevant to the patient who receives them. Check out this article on variables to learn more.

How do I get my brand colour codes?

If you don't know your brand's hex codes - you can use a website such as imagecolorpicker.com to upload your logo or another image with your brand colours in it, and select them from there.

How do I start sending the templates?

You'll need to go ahead and create your first email. Head over to our introduction to sending email to get started.

How do the call us and email us buttons work?

Buttons don't just have to link to a web address - they can link to phone numbers and email addresses, as well as Peptalkr forms. Check out this guide to using buttons.

Can I add attachments to my emails?

Yep - however, they need to be added as links/buttons. Refer to this article for guidance.

Can I change the content in the templates?

Yes you can. But remember, the templates are just the starting point for an email you send. You needn't customise the text in them - unless you want the default text we put in your reusable templates to change. But we suggest keeping our text there so you always have it as a reference. Once you create an email you can change the text however you like.
